New Friend

It had been two month since I decided to live with my dad after his
divorce. Actually, I’d never want them to break apart. I loved both
much. But, I didn’t know what on their mind. Parents sometimes were
complicated just like childish. I inhaled deep breathe for many times
and I really didn’t know for how many, and once again I saw my dad
kept an eye one me. But I didn’t care, not really care. I hated this
situation so much. I missed my mom.
My dad and I were still going to my brand school. I just had
homeschooling before this because I didn’t really like the crowded and
noisy places, not except for school, it was horrible for me.
“So, how is your day?” asked my dad breaking the ice.
“Not really fine”, answered me flatly and boring.
“Are nervous now?” he asked curiously.
“Just a little.”
“Do not worry, you’ll get many friends and experiences there,” he said
with holding my hands warmly. I was forced to smile. As if I forget
how to smile brightly to him.
I felt so long time going to school with my dad on his old car. I’ve
known that the distance from our house was not long enough. Hey,
although I didn’t really care about all things about school, it didn’t
mean I wasn’t curious with my new school dude. Arggh… I hoped I could
handled this.
To chase away my boring, I always wore my earphone listening my
favorite playlist songs and look outside the window hoping to see
attractive things. Avril Lavigne’s songs always made me feel comfort
and safe. Once again, I saw my dad looking at me. And once again I
really didn’t care.
Now here I am, at the headmaster room. I waited outside the room, and
it was my chance to explore many things here. The building was old
enough but looked so strong and cool. I saw no other students, may be
they were on their class because it was 8 a.m. I didn’t wonder
actually. Headmaster’s room was on the second floor so I could see the
students playing basket ball on the fields. The girls just watched the
boys who showed their skills, always like that. I just snorted. After
that, I heard the burst door opened. I almost jumped because of
shocked. My dad gave me a code to follow him entering the room.
“So, Miss Dandelion Moore, you can choose the class whatever you want.
I’ve read your data here. I think you have no problem about it.” The
headmaster started to speak. I just gave him smile and looked to my
father to ask for help.
“Ehm,, how if you choose the class for my daughter sir? She of course
can’t choose by herself what she wants.” My dad tried to ask.
He looked as if think it. “Oke, Eleven Science 1. hope she can explore
her ability there. Welcome to this wonderful school Miss,” headmaster
shook my hands enthusiastic.

“Ok miss, now introduce your self, who are you, where do you come
from, “ Mrs. Rena as head of this class spoke.
I smiled clumsy. I swallowed my saliva fast. All eyes focused on me,
and I hated this. Oh God…“Ehm,, hello everyone, I am Dande, I came
from Venice. Nice to meet you all,” about what I said before I even
feel so awkward. They were still silent, not even gave me applause or
not, but I didn’t really care. I hated this condition.
“What is your full name hey guys?”abruptly a blonde boy.
“Dandelion More,”
“Oke miss dande, you can sit on the behind desk!” Mrs. Rena said.
“Thanks Madam,”
When i sat recently, a white and flawless hand outstrectched in front
of my face.
“Hai, I am Mia. Nice to meet you too. “she said happily. I smiled perforcely.

“Hey Dande, come here!” I heard someone calling me loudly when I was
on cafetaria. There Mia standing with smile on her face.
“You can sit with us, right girls?” Mia asked her other friends. And
they nodded.
“Thanks,”
“Anyway Dande, “ Said long brown haired girls friendly. “Hye, I am
Poppy, and this is Clara and Rachel, “ she continued to speak
introducing the others.
“Hay all, “ I said rather nervously.
“Dande, do you comfort with this place? I mean as new comers, they
usually get nervous or not comfort with new situation like this, “said
Rachel.
“This place is wonderful enough, I’m lovin it.”
“Oh,,, I’m glad Dan to hear that if you like it, “Mia said.
“By the way, you came from Venice right? I always image can get there,
would you like to invite us go there?” Clara said enthuastic. They all
laughed agreed.
“Well, do not worry, just prepare your day,”I msiled brightly. They
were not bad.
“Hahahha,,,.” We laughed together.
“Would you like to tell us how you get here? From Venice to
Scotland?”Poopy asked.
“My dad and my mom got divorce. My mom had married again and they
moved to Vegas. I chose to live with my dad here. I used to have
homeschooling before when in Venice. I had one sister, and she lived
with my mom and her new husband. And now, I am here, “ I end the story
with sad smile.
“Oh,,, I am sorry to hear that Dan, I didn’t mean making you remember this,,,”
“Oh,,, it is ok. I am fine. Life is choice, isn’t it?” I smiled again
to comfort her.
“Yess you’re right. At least, you still have Dad who loved you much
Dande, you are lucky girl.”Mia said with tears flood at the corner of
her eyes.
“Oh,,, you all made me feel sad,”Rachel said. They hugged me. Mia was
right, I was so lucky still have daddy who love me more. Ohh,,, I
missed him.
